Update on my epic adventure!

Well unfortunately the year is 2020 and as everyone knows, the COVID-19 pandemic has literally stopped the world in its tracks. My flight out of Australia was cancelled, the travel agency I booked my trip through went bankrupt & all my tours were cancelled. Devastated is an understatement & my mental health was severely impacted.

After selling my home & almost everything I own, I had nowhere to go. I moved to the Gold Coast in Queensland to await the end of the pandemic. After 6 months here, I have decided it is time to go to London, pandemic or no pandemic. I am in the process of getting set up with a casual teaching agency in London and researching suburbs to live in. 

I also re-booked my trip, albeit a slightly shorter version. I will now be departing London in August and heading to South America for 5 months, covering Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Uruguay and Brazil. To finish off I will end with an incredible adventure in Antarctica. I will be ticking off almost my entire South America bucket list, including Machu Picchu, Cusco Skylodge, Galapagos Islands, Easter Island Moai (statues), Perito Moreno glacier, Amazon, Bolivia salt flats, biking the Death Road in Bolivia and Iguassu Falls. If the political situation in Venezuela ever improves I'll have to make the trip back to South America to tick that off my list too & see Angel Falls!

Over the next 2 months I will be preparing for my move to London & packing my boxes, arranging shipping of my stuff. I will also be taking a domestic trip to cover South Australia, Sydney and Victoria, to see important people before I go.
